I spent Saturday with Drake (aka Deadly) Williams, local designer and the owner of the brand Deadly Doodles. We started off the day by taking pictures around Deep Ellum followed by lunch at the Twisted Root Co. As we went around Deep Ellum I noticed a couple things about Deadly. He cared about the environment and the state of his surroundings. Deadly wants to make a difference; he is always thinking about different ways/ events that can bring the community together to create positive change. I met Deadly about a couple months ago and I can say that he does not let his ego get to him. Drake uses Deadly Doodles as a way of reaching out to the community around him. Deadly was approached by fans a couple times through-out the night, and it was the perfect way of seeing the impact he is making in society. People care about his art and seeing him take time, out of whatever we were doing, to talk about what people liked and what they wanted to see. These moments were spread apart through the day and not once did he brush someone off. Deadly Doodles is going places in 2018.
